戦闘は序盤は毒などの常態異常を、後半はスキル連発していくことになる。後半になると非常に敵が硬くなるので忍術を購入し対抗していくことになる
更に今作は仲間が多数存在している。その為パーティを組み替えるなどの要素が追加している。
サークルの過去作にも登場したネオ江戸が再び登場し、平和になった姿を垣間見ることができたのは嬉しい配慮である。
