雰囲気は産業革命期のロンドンが舞台ですが、技術的にはかなり進んでおり、携帯電話っぽいものが割と普及していたりなど、産業革命期にこだわらない舞台設定になっています。
ストーリー自体は王道に近いような気がします。エロ要素は薄いです。むしろ多少手を加えて全年齢版にしたらいいのではないくらいです。
この作品の魅力は何と言ってもヒロインだと思います。清廉でひたむきな姿と芯の強さ、愛らしさを持っているのもそうですが、表情が非常に細やかで繊細なところが良いです。ほんのわずかな感情表現を巧みにしているところは一見の価値があります。
