右や左といった思想抜きに中立の立場から「記録」に徹している点に好感が持てます。時間が経ってから書かれているので感情的にならず冷静にメディア等のコメントも比較しており、歴史やそれに付随する外交問題に興味のある人が入門書として読むのに最適だと思います。
