前作をプレイしている前提なので難易度は高め。紹介にも書かれているが、シナリオも思いっきり続きなので今作から始めるのはお勧めできない。
だが、前作をがっつりプレイしている人ならば新しい機能などもあるため十分に楽しむことができると思う。ゲームとしては延長線上にあるといえると思う。

特に新しく追加された攻撃スキでは、前作までだと苦手な相手からの攻撃は痛かったものだが、弾幕で一方的に攻撃できたり、火力の高い技で一気に削り倒したりと何気に戦略の幅が広がっている。
