選手たちの競争心理を描写する”真っ直ぐな瞳”が
強く印象に残る”活火秀人”先生の表題作・第8走
から第14走までが収められた作品集。
印象的な収録作品は、疲れが出て、自室で寝こけ
ていた主人公の部屋へ、彼に呼ばれていた子が訪
れ・・・な「第12走・プライベートマッサージ」。
読んでいて印象的だったのは、成績上位な選手達
の、澱みのない真っ直ぐな”瞳”と、絞り込むこと
で鍛え上げられ、その子の真剣さを表現している
”腹筋”。バチバチ火花散る、その場の”臨場感”も
又、本作の隠れた”魅力”だと感じました。
登場する選手たちの”本気”が真っ直ぐ伝わる一冊。
