本作は、江戸時代の吉原遊郭を舞台にしたサスペンスホラーが楽しめる作品となっております。

妖怪要素(女郎蜘蛛かな?)をうまく絡めつつ描かれたお話となっており、最終的にどうなってしまうのだろうと思いつつドキドキしながら読むことができました。

前編の最大の見所は、太夫の背中に蜘蛛の刺青が浮かび上がるところでしょうかね。

かなりドキっとさせられました。
