タイトルの通り、FF3の音楽をPS2の音源を使ってアレンジしたもの。
アレンジと言うのがポイントで、原曲重視の曲は少なくむしろ大胆にアレンジされて
別物になりかけている物も多い。ファミコン版とはもちろん、リメイク版とも違った
FF3の音楽集である。
