シリーズ第5作となるこの作品では耳かき音以外の効果音が以前の作品よりやや多く用いられており、以前の作品との差別化が図られた結果マンネリ化は防がれています。
ヒロイン・ひさめは序盤は雪女らしく冷たさを感じさせる声で話しかけてきますが、徐々に温かみを感じさせるものに変化していきます。
