作者様も言っているとおり、スーパーファミコンで発売されていた名作「スーパー○リオRPG」へのオマージュ作品。ただ○リオRPGを東方のキャラで再現した、などということはなく、東方の世界観とキャラの個性、そして○リオRPGの雰囲気を高い次元で両立させている。かつてプレイした人がニヤリとするような点が満載だ。絵の好みだけはどうしようもないが、絵を理由にこの作品を避けるのは余りにもったいない。
