クラシック楽曲をエキサイティングなロックにアレンジした楽曲集。
表題どおり、スーファミやプレステ時代のファンタジー系RPGのボスバトルを髣髴とさせるような仕上がりです。

シリーズ前2作はクラシックのイメージに忠実で「背景に流すおとなしめなBGM」という使い心地でしたが、
この第3弾は本当にゲーム音楽そのものの大胆なアレンジで、
とても挑戦的で素晴らしい仕上がりとなっています。

単純にサウンドトラックとしても楽しめるような高いクオリティーです。
