修道院の南側に住む売れない小説家の皆々波子さん。
編集者から執筆を打診されるもあまりの面白くなさに、
次回で打ち切りを宣告されます。
波子さんを推していた新人編集者は修道院のシスターに
神様もミスキャストするのかと苦悩を打ち明けますが、
当の波子さんの考えは・・・

自分の好きな事に打ち込めるというのは幸せな事ですね。
