前作以上の狂気があふれ出る今作。一歩歩くたびに、不気味な獣たちとの戦いが始まり、雑魚だとなめてかかると即ゲームオーバーである。ボス的との戦いも前作以上にハードであり、常に傍らに仲間がいてくれた前作と比べ進むたびに、狂気の世界の中1人だと不安である。
前作とのつながりが大きいため、前作プレイはもちろん、紅ずきんの森もやっておくと、さらに深くこの世界に浸れるだろう。
