レイプマン第 5 巻。
「ザ・レイプマン」では、男女のいざこざを収拾させるような話から、政界、財界を舞台としたようなスケールの大きな話まで、かなり広がりがある。
本巻は、その舞台のヴァラエティ豊かさを如実にあらわしている巻である。当時の舞台背景について、隆盛を極めた地上げ、ハウスマヌカン等に見られるファッション業界、大手百貨店を舞台にした乱脈経営、そして関西圏で放送されていた終了時間未定の某深夜番組も、知っておくとちょっとお得。
