過去作の3と同じ、時間軸で物語が進むので3をプレイしてた方がいいかもしれませんが、未プレイでも物語としては独立しているので不自由になることはありません。
また、今作はパニックホラーとしてシナリオ、エロゲーとしてのエロの部分の両方の完成度が高く、シリーズの中でも最高の出来です。
