この作品はシリーズの外伝の形をとってあるが、シリーズをしらなくても十分に楽しむことができる。
また犬神なだけあって耳をなめるというところに重点が置かれており、非常に耳心地が良い。
また声優さんの声質がシュチュエーション、本作のキャラクターに非常にマッチしており、途中で変に物語の没入が妨げられるということがなかったのも非常に高評価。
