これまで多くのクトゥルフのリプレイを出している日陰堂氏の沖縄の離島を舞台とした作品です。
これまでの氏の作品では出てこなかった独特な風俗を持つ沖縄が舞台であり、また、クトゥルフと絡めやすいある地域の民俗、奇妙な祭りに学者が訪れるという、王道な展開になっており、安心して読むことができます。
