アリスのチャンピオンソフト時代の
ソフトの一部を無料配布可能にする、
いわゆるフリーソフト宣言。

それによって、新たな新規ファンを獲得し
今日、ランス10で完結したランスシリーズ。
今作、ランス9はそのシリーズの一つの終点と言える。

彼が続けて来た大冒険ともいうべきものは
この作品の部隊、ヘルマンを持って終わりだ。

ランスⅥの頃の様に、戦争の介入という大筋の共通点を持ち、その傍若無人の様なありさまに過去の面影を見つめながらも、所々に「あぁ、ランスも成長した」と感じる。


平成の終わりに、「あぁ、良い時代だった」と
小さな華を飾った。このランス9。いや、ランスシリーズ。
