アリスソフトが誇るビッグタイトルであるランスシリーズの完結作。
作品ごとに異なるシステムを採用するRPGだが、今回は魔界との決戦であることもあり、スケールの大きさが味わえる作りになっている。
シナリオも最後までランスらしく気持ち良い内容だった。
ゲームバランスはいつも通りやや難しめで、いくらでもやり直しが効くようになっている仕様。なんども死んで試行錯誤してクリアを目指してもらいたい。
